The short version: Portigo gives you general tariff information to help you understand US import duties. It is not legal, customs, or tax advice, and the numbers are estimates — verify with a licensed customs broker before you rely on them.

Who we are
Portigo is operated by Atlas Technology Group LLC, doing business as Portigo ("Portigo," "we," "us"). By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What Portigo is — and is not
Portigo is an informational service. It aggregates published US tariff data — duty rates, trade-remedy overlays, and compliance screening flags — into plain-English pages and estimates. It is not a customs broker, a freight forwarder, a law firm, or a compliance service. Nothing on this site is legal, customs, or tax advice, and nothing here creates a broker-client or attorney-client relationship.
Estimates only
Every figure on this site is an estimate computed from published sources as of the date shown on the page. Tariff rates and rules change, sometimes quickly. Before relying on a number for a real shipment, verify it against the official USITC Harmonized Tariff Schedule or with a licensed customs broker.
Your responsibility
If you import goods into the United States, the legal duty to classify, value, and enter your merchandise with reasonable care sits with you as the importer of record (19 U.S.C. § 1484). Portigo does not classify your goods, determine their customs value, or make compliance determinations for you. Decisions about your imports — and their consequences — are yours.
No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We work hard to keep the data current, but we do not promise it is error-free or up to date.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Atlas Technology Group LLC and its members, officers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost savings, duties, penalties, or fines, arising out of or relating to your use of the site — even if we have been advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Atlas Technology Group LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the site or your violation of these terms.
Intellectual property
The site's original content, design, and software are owned by Atlas Technology Group LLC. Underlying government data — the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Federal Register notices, and similar public sources — is public information and remains so. You may use the site for your own business research; you may not scrape, resell, or republish the site at scale without our written permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
